Broken Someone decided to update some stuff without checking whether or not it broke other things

The second you turn off wifi, the app says there's a network error. Doesn't work off of mobile data.

Steve Goedker

Push notifications turn off when app is closed or you switch from one location to another while in the app. This app has never worked correctly. For the cost of security cameras you would think this app would be great.

P2P scanner doesn't work

If you're considering installing cameras, and the salesperson says "Oh yes! It goes straight to your phone! ...We use Watchdog's VMax!" Kick that salesperson in the teeth and throw him out. This is decent by early 2000's standards. This interface is clunky, minimal, and not user-friendly. The search function for dates is compressed heavily so hard to press by normal fingers without hitting the wrong hour or minute. Didn't get the right time? That's ok, you can fast-forward! SLOWLY! VHS tapes could fast-forward or rewind faster and with more accuracy. But at least you can screen-capture the image you need. The problem is the PNG image has then been saved to an area of your phone incongruous with your phone's interface. According to VMax's own help line (thanks Brad), you will need to download a separate file service app to find it! Good luck hunting! Basically this company is running by the 'ol Blackberry Phone means of survival: large commercial/corporate contracts with outdated tech and little-to-no means of updating the interface.

Not as user friendly as it could be.

This app is not good for viewing or getting into DVR to view cameras. DW needs to get their act together and either fix this or replace.

The app is terrible. So slow that the camera views don't even load, so I can't even watch/see them. Isn't that kind of the point?

Ashley Ploeger

Requires way too many permissions. No way I'm giving access to my contacts.

Paul Crimi

To many permission requirements... Uninstall
